Committee meets twice a year (FY) to review applications and as necessary
beyond that.
§
If a committee member has an application under review, they must excuse
themselves from the review process.
How
do they determine who gets the money?
§
The
committee reviews:

Membership
status – confirm dues are current, talk with teacher(s) about attendance
and commitment to club.
·
Have
they applied within the past year?
·
Have
they received funds from the MSF before?
·
Reason
they want the funds.
When
are applications due?
§
Applications
for MEMBERSHIP FEES are accepted only during the first month of each term.
§
Applications
for EVENTS strongly recommended three (3) months prior to date
registration due for the event.
What
are the limitations for receiving funds?
1.
Only one application per person will be accepted for an EVENT or
for MEMBERSHIP FEES per fiscal year.
2.
Preference in approving applications is given to those who have not
received Memorial Scholarship funds before.
3.
Funds are distributed on a first come, first served basis.
